I have decided that I will write my paper over the poem "Night Ferry"

I appologize in advanced for the following wall of text:

This poem seems as if it is one of the easier ones to understand, and I could not really get the other ones. Something about how the author writes is interesting to me. I believe that "Night Ferry" is a ferry that carries people that are dying, or have died recently to their final resting place. I believe this because the narrator mentions launching into darkness, lights in the distance, and late passangers. Also, the narrator mentuions that the ferry is moving on faith, and "into whatever takes place". The narrator also mentions that the ferry is traveling "blunt into the future, knowing, more than seeing" which could roughly translating into someone who knows they are dying, but do not see what is happening in the future with their lives. Then the narrator mentions that the people on the ferry are the "last travelers" and are being guided by men with flashlights. He also says that it is "the completion of our, or anyone's crossing." which means that everyone dies now or later, and everyone must cross "between worlds", from life to death. He then says "between unfathomed water and I don't know how much" which means that no one knows what happens after death and that the journey from life is a mystery. The narrator also says "I am almost not afraid on this good boat" which is interesting, because most people fear death, but somehow, the smell and feel of the boat described by the narrator seems comforting. The narrator mentions that the story is only "temporary", because he will soon be passed from this world to the next. Also, just before the boat arrives, the people aboard are described as being comforted by the feel and smell of the environment around them, as if the pain of dying is being soothed.
