How Winston Supports the Party in 1984

In 1984 I think that Winston supports the government by conforming outwardly, but inwardly despises the ideas spread by Big Brother. Here are some reasons:

  • Winston writes in his journal- "DOWN WITH BIG BROTHER"
  • Winston willfully participates in the excercises on the telescreen
  • Winston works dutifully at the Ministry of Truth
  • Winston gets riled up during the Two Minutes Hate, then regrets it
  • many other items toward the end of the book, but I dont want to ruin it Wink
